JCI Puerto Princesa Oil Powers Through Training Month

February 2026 turned into a full-on Training Month for JCI Puerto Princesa Oil, with members jumping from one learning space to another—online and on the ground. Anchored on the LO’s GO BIG 2026 call to action and 2026–2028 Strategic Plan, the month focused on building core skills that young Palaweños need to lead meaningful projects and create sustainable impact in their communities.

The training sprint kicked off with a series of online sessions previewed in the January OiL RiG Newsletter: from ROI Global and Twin Smart, to design and branding workshops, to financial wellness, and governance-focused trainings. Each activity was designed to move members along a clear leadership pathway—starting with self-development, then project competence, and eventually chapter leadership.

On February 8, members and guests logged into Zoom for “The New JCI Brand and Basic Website Build & Design for Non‑Profits”, a three-hour session that unpacked the refreshed JCI global identity and guided participants through building simple, functional websites for their organizations. The session supported the chapter’s FUEL (Local Website) program under Brand Awareness & Visibility and formed part of its broader digital transformation agenda.

Training Month then moved from screen to stage. On February 17, the LO co-hosted JCI Adventure: Beyond Limits at the Media Office of the City Coliseum, in partnership with JCI Puerto Princesa Peacock, JCI Narra Grains, and other Palawan chapters. Led by Area Director Josh Tadoy, the program guided new and emerging members through the JCI journey—from first step to what the recap video described as “complete circle,” showing how training can translate into real project leadership.

The momentum continued on February 21 with a JCI Protocol and Parliamentary Procedures training hosted by JCI Puerto Princesa Peacock, again at the City Coliseum media office. JCI Puerto Princesa Oil members joined to sharpen their meeting management skills and ensure that their growing portfolio of activities is supported by solid governance and orderly deliberation.

February closed strong on February 28 at the Edward Hagedorn City Coliseum Media Room, where the LO held a Project Planning and Management Training followed by its 2nd General Membership Meeting and fellowship. The event tied together the lessons of Training Month by walking members through the full JCI project lifecycle—from idea to impact—while also strengthening bonds within the chapter.
